What happens step-by-step after the metal has been cut?

Metal may be cut in two ways. One method is to rub sharp blades up against the metal. Occasionally, though, the metal is cut out completely. The process of applying a large amount of pressure on a small area until the metal breaks or fractures is known as shearing. It is similar to a large pair of scissors, with the same process all the time. Removal of metal, however, can be done using varying methods including abrasives, electric arc, laser beams, or torches.
